STORY: Finca Fatima was acquired by Antonio Orea and Genoveva Perez in the 1970’s. The farm was primarily used in commodity coffee until 2018 when the farm switched to producing specialty coffee. In 2019, the farm was awarded a Cup of Excellence winner for a special Typica variety. The farm produces multiple varieties now like this Garnica variety that is a hybrid of Mondo Novo and Yellow Caturra. The Garnica variety was developed by the Mexican Coffee Institute (INMECAFE) in the 1960’s and is commonly found in the regions of Chiapas and Veracruz.
Sourcing high quality coffees from Mexico can be difficult and frustrating year after year. We roast and ship every Monday & Thursday. Orders must be received by 5PM on Sunday and Wednesday to ensure it gets added to our production. Orders placed after 5PM on on Sunday and Wednesday will be roasted and shipped out the next production day.
