STORY: Finca Santa Cecilia sits an elevation of 1850 masl and is located in Loja, Ecuador. Brothers, Juan Carlos and Wilson Gallego, are the producers and had been producing conventional coffees for many years with little focus on quality.

However, about a decade ago, they entered into a group of producers who had access to a better market; this motivated them to improve both production and quality. Unfortunately, the group didn’t succeed as a whole, but the brothers remained committed to producing specialty coffee. These days, Wilson has left most of the production and processing decisions to his brother Juan Carlos, who is doing an amazing job staying focused on quality.

Other than coffee, they also grow lemons, oranges, avocados, plantains, and cherimoya (a fruit Mark Twain coined as one of the most delicious fruits known to mankind!).

This is our first coffee ever from Ecuador and we can’t be more excited to be able to offer it! Ecuador has such great potential and this coffee is a glimpse into that market. As always, one of our goals is to bring in coffees from not-so-familiar origins and allow these hidden gems to sparkle a bit!

We roast and ship every Monday & Thursday. Orders must be received by 5PM on Sunday and Wednesday to ensure it gets added to our production. Orders placed after 5PM on on Sunday and Wednesday will be roasted and shipped out the next production day.
